Following is a list of Delphi / C++Builder related mailings lists hosted on this server. Currently these lists are idle. If you have not used a mailing list before, please read this first.

Who should join these lists?

  • If you use D/C, these lists can help you to stay up-to-date and get answers to your questions.
  • You can help other users while possibly learning something new yourself.
  • If you maintain a D/C related web site, you can get a link to your site on the upcoming D/C links page. This page will be accessible from  Chami.com/tips/delphi/ and weekly picks will be posted to the newsletter.
  • If you're a D/C tools vendor, you can send announcements in a productive manner without "spamming."

LIST-DELPHI-DEV

Audience: Delphi / C++Builder (D/C) developers.

How to subscribe:

Mode: Moderated. All messages posted to the list will first go to the list moderator for review, to make sure that the posting is appropriate. If the posting is accepted, it will be distributed to the rest of the list members.

Guidelines:

  • All postings must be related to D/C development.
     
  • Commercial announcements related to D/C are welcome. Please read the guidelines for commercial announcements.
     
  • If you're asking a question, please include the version of the related products you're using, including the operating system versions.
     
  • Offensive language is not appropriate.
     
  • Weekly schedule:

    Regular postings will be distributed to the list every day.

    "Special postings" listed below are distributed to the list once a week only, in a digest format. Special postings will also be posted to the LIST-DELPHI-NEWS list.

    Mondays: Free stuff day! Announcements and offers related to freeware components and other developer related products will be posted to the list in a single message.

    Wednesdays: A single message containing all commercial announcements sent to the list during the past week will be distributed to everyone on the list.

    Thursdays: All announcements not covered in other special postings, such as web site openings, bug reports, etc., will be included in this message.

    Fridays: A single message containing all tips and tricks related contributions will be posted to the list.

LIST-DELPHI-MISC

This list's usage and the setup is similar to LIST-DELPHI-DEV, except this list is open to all Delphi / C++Builder related discussions, including beginner questions, postings that aren't specific to development issues, etc.

LIST-DELPHI-NEWS

This is a read-only mailing list for everyone interested in Delphi / C++Builder (D/C) related announcements.

Subscribers to this mailing list will receive a D/C newsletter every week, mostly consisting of special postings sent to the LIST-DELPHI-DEV and LIST-DELPHI-MISC mailing lists. Highly recommended.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

You're encouraged to post Delphi / C++Builder related announcements that are beneficial to developers. In order to keep a balance and not to loose the focus, following conditions apply to all commercial and non-commercial announcements:

  • Please send your announcements to Lists Support
     
  • All announcements will be collected into a single message by the moderator and posted to the list members on every Wednesdays only.
     
  • Commercial announcements must include the word ANNOUNCEMENT (or ANN for short) in the beginning of the message subject.
     
  • The contact information must be listed at the bottom of the message body. Anonymous announcements (messages without a real person as a contact) will be discarded.
     
  • Please include pricing information whenever possible.
     
  • Vendors offering discounts to list members and other special offers will be listed at the top. All other announcements will be in the order which they were received.
     
  • Keep announcements short and point to a web page and/or an email address where users can get details.
