How do I close files?

  • The "Ctrl+F4" key. This is the default shortcut for closing files/windows in the Windows environment.
     
  • Close icon
    The [X] close icon on the file window's title bar.
     
  • Select "Window | Close" or "File | Close | Close" from the main menu.
     
  • Create a custom keyboard shortcut such as "Ctrl+W".
     
  • The hkCloseFiles adds "Close" and "Close All" options to the editor right click menu.
     
  • Multiple files can be closed using one of the following main menu options: "Window | Close All" or "File | Close | Close All"
     
  • Task Bar right click menu
    The "Close" option on the right click menu of the HTML-Kit Task Bar can be used to pick one of the open files and close it.
