Provides options for auto numbering the selected text.

Features:

  • Adds options for auto numbering the selected text.
     
  • Replaces the place-holder -- {{AUTONO}} -- with an incrementing or decrementing number.
     
  • Option for inserting incrementing or decrementing number at the start of each selected line.
     
  • Option for inserting incrementing or decrementing number at the end of each selected line [new v0.92].
     
  • Customizable numbering format (default: "%02d. ").
     
  • Ability to start counting at a specific number (default: 1) [new v0.92].
     
  • Count up or down from the starting number [new v0.92].
     
  • Remembers the numbering format, starting number and increment-by number between sessions.

Usage:

  • To insert incrementing or decrementing number at specific points, enter the place-holder {{AUTONO}} where the numbers should appear and invoke the "Replace {{AUTONO}} with incrementing number" option from the plugin drop-down menu.
     
  • To insert the number at the start or end of each line, select the related menu option from the plugin drop-down menu.
     
  • To increment each number by 10: enter 10 in the "Increment By" field.
     
  • To count down from the starting number: enter a negative number such as -1 in the "Increment By" field. For example, to start counting at 100 and decrease by 10 at a time, enter 100 for the starting number and enter -10 in the "Increment By" field.

How do I install hkAddNumbers?

  • Download the "hkAddNumbers" plugin and save it to a folder of your choice (for example, c:\webfiles\). It's not necessary to manually extract the *.zip file, HTML-Kit will expand it to the proper folder during the installation.
     
  •  Install Plugin
    Select "Install | Install Plugin" from HTML-Kit's "Tools" menu. Point to the downloaded *.zip file and click "Open."
     
  • If any additional prompts appear, follow them to complete the installation.

hkAddNumbers's icon will appear on the "Tools" tab on HTML-Kit's Actions Bar. It can also be invoked from the "Actions | Tools" sub menu.
