Adds the ability to compile .NET C# files.

  • Compile .NET C# files using the Microsoft C# compiler,
  • View the compiler output in the Messages Window,
  • Jump to the source of errors/warnings,
  • Build and run the target application,
  • An option for pausing the console window after running a .NET command-line application to make it easier to view its output,
  • Change compiler preferences using a graphical interface, and
  • Proprietary <hkCompCSharp /> tag for easily maintaining separate project-specific compiler options in *.cs files.

  • To compile a stand-alone *.cs file, open it and invoke the plugin.
  • To compile multiple files that are part of a project, update the command line options field under plugin preferences or use the <hkCompCSharp /> tag to specify project options in the *.cs file itself. "*.cs" (without quotes) can be entered to compile all *.cs files in the current directory.
  • To store compiler options in the *.cs file using the proprietary <hkCompCSharp /> tag, enter the following (for example) at the top or bottom of the *.cs file in a line by itself: /// <hkCompCSharp options='/target:winexe *.cs' />.

  • Requires the .NET C# compiler (csc.exe) distributed with the .NET Framework.
• Automated Installation:   (What's This?)To install, enter hkcompcsharp in the Updates tab. Updates tab on the Actions Bar  • Manual Installation:
