HTML-Kit Support- Makes it possible to test the latest beta version ("blue version") of HTML Tidy without having to replace the built-in version of HTML Tidy ("red version"). This beta version appears on the Tools tab as a blue broom icon.

- Ability to read settings from a default Tidy config file.

- To check for common HTML coding errors, open a HTML document and click the blue broom icon on the Tools tab. The code with any fixes suggested by Tidy will appear in the Output window. Any error messages will appear in the Messages Window. Once the generated code is inspected, it can be copied back to the original file by right clicking the Output window and selecting "Copy Output to Editor".
- To automatically read settings from a Tidy config file (instead of using the settings on the Tidy tab under Preferences), save the config file under HTML-Kit\Data\Default\Default.htc and invoke the plugin using its icon.
- To change the language (currently supported: English and German), select "Change language" from the drop-down menu, pick the language, click the "OK" button and restart HTML-Kit.
- For more options, click the down arrow next to the blue Tidy icon.
- This version is designed for beta testers.

How do I install HTML Tidy Beta?

Download the "HTML Tidy Beta" plugin and save it to a folder of your choice (for example, c:\webfiles\). It's not necessary to manually extract the *.zip file, HTML-Kit will expand it to the proper folder during the installation.

Select "Install | Install Plugin" from HTML-Kit's "Tools" menu. Point to the downloaded *.zip file and click "Open."
- If any additional prompts appear, follow them to complete the installation.

Whats' the quickest way to uninstall HTML Tidy Beta?
Right click the HTML Tidy Beta icon on the Actions Bar and select "Uninstall." Alternatively, the "Tools | Install | Uninstall Plugins" menu option in HTML-Kit can be used to uninstall this and other plugins.
Do I need the exact versions of software listed under the Requirements?
The versions listed are the minimum versions required by this plugin. For example, a plugin that requires HTML-Kit Build 290 will run on HTML-Kit Build 292 as well.
What's the best way to check which version of HTML-Kit I'm using?
The build number can be found on the "About" dialog, which is located on HTML-Kit's "Help" menu.
